easter + mama's birthday party!

last weekend we did our annual easter party/ my mom's birthday party! 

i look forward to this every year. 

we color eggs and have the best easter egg hunt

 and a yummy dinner and all my siblings are together! 

this one was extra special cause we found out the BEST news!

i took a billion photos but it really was such a fun day and everything needed to be document ha!

^^my brother and sister in law brought a pinata for the whole family and all the little grandkids had a turn and then i went next and on my second hit bam it opened. and what do you know... my brother and sister in law are going to have a baby girl!!!! I'M SO HAPPY.^^

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM.... 

her birthday isn't tell tomorrow but with everyone in school and jobs

 and one that live far away we had to celebrate early. 

it was the best easter/ birthday party day ever.

andrew's birthday!

andrew had the best little first birthday if i do say so myself. ha! 

on his actaul birthday it was a pretty chill day and later that weekend we celebrated with family!

on his birthday he woke up pretty early and i made him his favorite breakfast. he was in heaven! 

afterwards he was tired (dumb molars coming in!) and went down for a nap. 

it was a good day! we even took him to see some puppies and played outside. his two favorite things!  some photos of his birthday day and party below!

little bit of life lately!

life lately has been busy but so great! 

we have been doing lots of home projects lately and march is birthday month in our families! 

here are some photos of what's been going on lately. 

for cousin amelia's birthday we all went swimming and andrew hasn't gone swimming since he was around 4 months old so i didn't know how he would like it but i'd say he loved it! 

the coldness of the water really didn't seem to bother him. he would just kick his little legs in the water, it was so cute! it made me happy he likes swimming! 

can't wait to go swimming a lot this summer!

^^andrew went down the water slide for the first time with daddy!

we didn't know if he was going to scream but he didn't really do anything. ha ha^^

^^of course i couldn't let daddy be the only fun parent so i had to step in and give it a try with him!^^

^^we painted our kitchen cabinets white! WHAOOO. i have been wanting to do this for over a year and now we finally did and it looks soooo good. cheers to white kitchens!

^^andrew is all about dogs so on his birthday we took him to see some puppies and his exicement for them lasted 3 minutes and he moved on... ha! i think he likes bigger dogs!^^

^^we went on a bike ride to article circle and got two ice cream cones.... 

seems fair, once you work out you get sweets? ha.^^

^^i went to a little craft party with my sister in law and we made these yarn wreaths with felt flowers.

it was so much fun and a great time!^^

i'm pretty sure when he's 16 and he's in his car my mind will flash back to this photo

 and i will cry..... hahaha. 

one year old going on 16 before i know it.

andrew's smash cake!

we got andrew a little smash cake and let me tell you he was all about it! 

we put a number one candle on the cake and when we tried taking it away oh boy he was not happy. 

we realized afterwards we probably should have took it away sooner... he had ate some of the candle! 

ha! oops... brandon said it was a candy candle though? who knows! 

he's the cutest little boy and i'm so happy he's ours. 

still can't believe my baby is one!

my baby is ONE YEAR OLD!!!! 

how in the world did one year go that fast? its been the best year of my entire life. 

i may have got less sleep than i ever have but its been entirely worth it. 

i love you so much andrew grange! 

you have made me a better person and i just LOVE YOU.

*little andrew within the last month*

-barks all the time. he LOVES dogs.. like obsessed and its the cutest thing
-can stand on his own for awhile now

-can walk a few steps... he's getting better every day!

-started to squeeze when he gives hugs (melts my heart!)

-has learned to go down off the bed

-when throwing a fit he has started to bang his head against things. ha!
-is scared of chickens
-weighs 20 pounds
-learned to flush the toilet
-is 29 1/2 inches tall
-has 8 teeth
-he "cheeses" at the camera
-loves to read.... favorite book is where is spot!
-takes two naps a day
-has started to sleep through the night!
-wearing 12 month clothing
-size 3 diapers
-took him swimming and he enjoyed it
-can say dada and mama and i swear he can say doggie... doesn't sound exactly like it but hey!
-yells all the time. he's a chit chatter.
i made a little video of andrew at each month mark. i'm so glad i have photos but also these little films of him to see exactly how little he was. boy this year went fast!

oh this kid.

 my baby is going to be one in 10 days. 

TEN FLIPPING DAYS. he's been sleeping, poopin, breathin on this earth for almost a whole year! 

fastest best year of my entire life. 

i snapped these photos of andrew yesterday and i think these photos show his little personailty quite well. he's a hoot. brandon and i always thought he was going to be a quite little thing but he's more opposite of that. he's a talker... more like yeller ha and he keeps me on my toes already. 

but i sure do love him..

ice cream and a painting weekend!

this last weekend was oh so good! 

i love good weekends. they make my heart so happy! 

on friday we had to do a quick costco run and afterwards we stopped at farr's. 

i've had a $6 dollars off coupon to that place for about two and half years now and we finally used it! 

andrew was all about taste testing the ice cream. ha! 

i got two flavors... cake batter (which was the best cake batter ice cream i've ever had!) 

and dole whip pineapple kind (like disneyland) it seriously tasted just like it! 

brandon on the other hand is more of a chocolate/caramel kinda guy

so andrew was in heaven trying both of ours! 

and this weather lately? my goodness i'm in LOVE. 

saturday late afternoon brandon's grandma was having a painting night for the ladies at liquid canvas. 

they have an instructor that gives you steps by steps of what to paint 

and at the end you have created a master piece. ha!  

i'm not a painter at all like this. give me some wood and i can paint on that but painting on a canvas is not my strong suit. it was still a lot of fun to do and paint like that and try something new!

 i also had a great time with my sister in law. she has the talent of painting that's for sure! 

i think i was doing pretty dang good until those dang trees. 

trees are actually quite hard to paint but in the end i kinda like my thick forest. ha!  

brandon was all about my painting when i got home... 

not sure if he was just being a good husband or if he's serious. 

he even picked out a spot for it to go! ha

it was a fun night minus the fact i had to leave the hubs and my little love.

but i brought them home ice cream so i think they forgave me 

or more like me forgiving myself for leaving them. ha!
