Marriage really is the best thing ever. It really is I tell ya. I have become this whole new women. (women makes me sound old, how about lady). Anyways, I'm like the new betty crocker. Everyday I find a new recipe I want to try or mix two recipes together. It really is sooo fun. Before marriage I never cooked, it was always my mama and now its like i'm this new chef. Oh and crafts! I never really did those either and now its like i'm martha stewart. (or so I like to think) hahha. Husband really has been the best, he's so supportive of trying new recipes and he's totally okay with me doing crafts so he can watch some football.. of course. I sure do love that husband of mine.
So anyways this pumpkin bread it the BEST. It's so yummy and it leaves your house smelling divine! It really puts you in the fall mood.
Spiced Pumpkin Bread
Makes 2 loafs
3 cups of sugar
1 cup of vegetable oil
3 eggs
1 can of pumpkin
3 cups of flour
1 t of ground cloves
1 t cinnamon
1 t nutmeg
1 t baking soda
1/2 t salt
1/2 t baking powder
1 cup of chocolate chips
*preheat oven to 350 degrees* Butter and flour bread pans. Beat sugar and oil in large bowl to blend. Mix in eggs and pumpkin. Sift flour, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, soda, salt, and baking powder into another large bowl. Stir in pumpkin mixture in two additions.
Divide batter in the bread pans. Bake until tester comes out clean. 1 hour and 10 minutes. After you take it out, take a knife and go around the edges and take out of pan and let cool.

ReplyDeleteThat's so funny! I'm the same way now that I've gotten married, but all I really want to make are treats! I need to work on the "real food" thing. Pumpkin bread is calling my name, but I don't have a bread pan! I need to just fork over the money. It would be worth it, right? :) Thanks for the comment today! Camping is the best!
